Rhodes Wealth Management recently sponsored an amateur boxing competition in order to help a local boxing club raise funds to upgrade their facilities and buy new equipment.
In total, the event raised over £3,200 for Long Eaton Amateur Boxing Club which hosted the inter-county challenge match involving amateur boxers from clubs in the Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire divisions.
Long Eaton registered three boxers for the competition and all three won their bouts. George Coupe fought strongly to beat George Tallents (Ripley) in a Derbyshire Youth Cup contest. Ross Hollis (South Derbyshire) produced quality combinations to take a comfortable win over Tony Riches (Braunstone) and the high tempo combination punching of Ben Chambers (Long Eaton) was enough see off Sam Strand (Burton Park).
Commenting, Director Adam Rhodes said, “Rhodes Wealth Management was delighted to be able to help the club continue to provide coaching and training facilities for youngsters in Long Eaton. The club provides an excellent environment where they can learn and develop their talents.”
